It's utterly amazing how obsessed the pro-homosexuality crowd is

According to Scott Goetz, a senior scientist with the Center, "We believe this is some of the first evidence that high latitude forests may be in decline following an initial growth spurt associated with warming. The reasons for this decline are not certain, but related work points to increased drying as a likely cause. The observed warming and drying are consistent with climate model predictions for the region.

A recent study performed by the Futron Corporation, concluded that Falcon 5 was superior in design reliability to other vehicles in its class, due to engine redundancy. Falcon 9, by extension, has even higher reliability with increased propulsion redundancy.

Japan's summer dress-down campaign, aimed at easing global warming, reduced power consumption by enough to supply more than 240,000 households for a month, a power company said Friday.

The "Cool Biz" campaign was promoted by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, who has appeared in casual shirts without ties since June and through campaigning for an election Sunday

The spokesman, speaking on customary condition of anonymity, declined to comment on a report in the German news magazine Der Spiegel that U.S. authorities refused the delivery on the grounds that the
NATO military rations could carry mad cow disease.

The spokesman said U.S. authorities had since given approval for future aid flights, but it was unclear whether the German military would try again to deliver the rations

Even after requesting $60 billion for Katrina relief, the White House is trying to trim the regular budgets of U.S. agencies that track hurricanes and perform flood control.

Instead, Congress is likely to add money for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Army Corps of Engineers.

The Senate returns Monday to take up a funding bill that includes $4.5 billion for NOAA _ $895 million more than requested by Bush, who wanted to trim NOAA's budget by more than $350 million.

Blanco did what she could by asking for aid before it was needed. Nagin is either inept or complicit in this mess. The RTA (Regional Transit Authority) refused to allow its buses for evacuation claiming "we're a private company." To my mind private companies have public obligations in time of emergency and Nagin should have used that arguement with the RTA chief. Both should be made to stand trial for murder.

The culpable players must be brought to justice, no excuses, and given no quarter...

Concerns over aspartame's toxicity meant that for eight years, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) denied it approval, effectively keeping it off the world market. This caution was based on compelling evidence, brought to light by numerous eminent scientists, litigators and consumer groups, that aspartame contributed to serious central nervous system damage and had been shown to cause cancer in animals. Eventually, however, political muscle, won out over scientific rigour, and aspartame was approved for use in 1981 (see timeline for details).

Our neolib rulers plan for the new New Orleans to serve as a template for the rest of the nation where the Constitution now hangs precariously by a frayed thread. In the event of a "terrorist attack" and the imposition of martial law, we can expect the lessons learned in the new New Orleans to be practiced elsewhere-shoot to kill for "looting" food and water, doors kicked in by jackbooted troops who ignore the desperate pleas of hungry and thirsty citizens and lasciviously demand women flash their breasts (as if life is a segment of the Girls Gone Wild video), and treating citizens as if they are al-Qaeda suicide bombers.

But two months ago Welch decided to tell America what she learned about the U.S. government’s pre-planning of 9/11, saying although the story’s a hard pill to swallow and “may sound unbelievable,” she felt the need to risk public humiliation, government harassment and warn Americans anyway.

“Just like before, they’ll be after me again now that I went public,” said Welch who has been drugged and beaten on several occasions by government operatives.

In June 2001, the University of Winnipeg made headlines when high school students attending a summer art history course complained they were shown lesbian porn and instructed to use zucchinis instead of seeking male companionship. The instructors were not removed.

Lexington Police were forced to protect David Parker, fearing for his personal safety, when hundreds of angry pro-gay activists, including Lexington public officials and local liberal clergy, gathered to counter-demonstrate against parents and supporters of David Parker who were holding a rally on historic Lexington Battle Green.

Lexington boasts that it is among the most "tolerant" and "welcoming" towns in Massachusetts, but a wave of intolerance and hostility met a group of parents who had peacefully assembled to air a grievance.
...
Despite that fact that the Parker rally was publicly announced and this was done through emails, blog postings, phone calls, etc., this was about twice as big. It's utterly amazing how obsessed the pro-homosexuality crowd is, and how enraged they are that a parent challenges their proselytizing in the public schools. You've got to see this.
