your air passenger rights

And that's how the government staged the bombings in ten easy steps.

Granted, you can interchange different pieces of the puzzle. The bombers could be real terrorists that knew exactly what they were doing. All you would need to do is control the 'mastermind' behind the attack and make sure his boys carried out the job in the way you wanted. Voila

A controversial new EU regulation that has threatened to outlaw thousands of mineral supplements and bankrupt health food stores across Britain was upheld this morning.

The European Court of Justice approved the Food Supplements Directive even though the court's own Advocate-General advised that the Directive was invalid under EU law.

The ruling - greeted with surprise - is a defeat for a concerted campaign by more than a million British health food customers and shops. They have argued that the law, which will come into effect on August 1, will impose an unprecedented level of regulation on mineral supplements and could threaten the existence of small suppliers.

Karl Rove is paid to be an advisor. In that capacity he should not have had the access to the identity of Valerie Plame; dot number one. Judith Miller never wrote an article about this, yet was willing to go to jail instead of reveal her source; dot number two. Valerie Plame was working on the very issue, WMD, which Bush was pretending at the time he wanted to protect us from; dot number three. All of these things point back to the Downing Street Memos which prove impeachable offenses; dot number four.

13 July 2005: King Gyanendra and the Maoist insurgents have agreed for the UN to administer Nepal for a year within which internally-monitored elections will be held, and the scheme presented to UN secretary general Kofi Annan by US secretary of state Condoleezaa Rice was structured by India while the UK and Belgium co-sponsored it.

Under the scheme, Gyanendra will hand over executive powers to the UN, while retaining the office of the constitutional monarchy, and the king gave in after the US threatened dispatch of a multinational force to take over Nepal and return it to democracy, and the Maoists relented coming under extreme pressure from the Royal Nepalese Army.

During the one year of UN administration, twenty developments projects will be taken up in remote areas of Nepal, law enforcement institutions will be revived to restore public confidence, and elections will be held soon after, and the Maoists have agreed to negotiate peace in this while.

“The king was given examples of heads of state around the world who were being tried for human rights violations, and he got scared and consented to give up his powers to the UN,” a diplomat said.

Two former associates of Jack Abramoff, the embattled lobbyist, left the country Monday night en route to a new life in Israel. The relocation comes as a Justice Department taskforce presses forward with an investigation into potential criminal wrongdoing stemming from Abramoff’s business dealings.

Sam Hook and his wife Shana Tesler both worked with Abramoff at the law firm, Greenberg Traurig.  Hook served as the registered agent for Grassroots Interactive, a lobbying venture tied to Abramoff that has reportedly been subpoenaed by the Justice Department taskforce

If you're flying this summer, be aware of your rights!

It's summer…and time for holidays! Many amongst you will probably fly to your holiday destination.

But are you sure you know your rights if you are affected by denied boarding, flight cancellation, a long delay or lost luggage?

According to a recent Eurobarometer survey, only 35 percent of the people surveyed across the European Union know their rights and obligations when they have bought a plane ticket.

Did you know that since February 2005 a new European regulation obliges all airlines to offer you compensation if you are denied boarding?

Compensation payments amount to ‚?¬250 for flights of 1 500 km or less, to ‚?¬400 for flights of 1 500 to 3 500 km and to ‚?¬600 for flights over 3 500 km.

The same applies if your flight is cancelled, unless the airline can prove that the cancellation is due to extraordinary circumstances that could not have been avoided.

In both cases, the airline must give you the choice of either a refund of your ticket, (with a free flight back to your initial point of departure, when relevant), or alternative transport to your final destination. The airline also must offer you meals, refreshments and hotel accommodation when necessary.

In the case of long delays, you have the right to benefit from the same type of assistance. If the delay exceeds five hours, the airline must also offer to refund your ticket.

Is your luggage damaged, destroyed, lost or delayed? You may claim up to ‚?¬1 180 depending on the degree of inconvenience incurred.

If your airline refuses to offer you compensation despite your complaints or if your airline does not respect its obligations, turn to the proper national authority.

To find their name and address, get in touch with Europe Direct either by free phone by dialing the following number: 00 800 6 7 8 9 10 11; or by e-mail: mail@europe-direct.cec.eu.int.

The Eurobarometer survey also reveals that people with reduced mobility feel that they do not receive all the attention they need when flying.

This will change very soon thanks to two European regulations that are about to be adopted.

The first regulation will prohibit airline operators from refusing the reservation or the boarding of a person because of their age or disability, while the second regulation will give people with reduced mobility the right to benefit from free assistance in airports and on board planes.
