Masons figured among the 150 scholars

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has begun testing immigration
documents laced with radio-frequency identification chips at five spots on the
Mexican and Canadian borders.

The goal of the technology is to speed up--if not automate--secure entry and
exit of visitors at the nation's ports, according to a Homeland Security press
release.

Engibous added that it was up to manufacturers to develop low-end handsets. “If
they use this solution, then they can reduce prices by half. But it depends on
them to take a call on prices,” he said.

Despite being developed in Bangalore, company executives said the chip would be
manufactured in Dallas, US, China or Taiwan.

Their project is a long-term one, emphasize the scientists. "It'll be a
year and a half before we actually have [the first gene] in a plant that we can
test," points out Grunden. It'll be even longer before there's a cold- and
drought-loving tomato plant on Mars--or even in North Dakota. But Grunden and
Boss remain convinced they will succeed.

"There's a treasure trove of extremophiles out there," says Grunden.
"So if one doesn't work, you can just go on to the next organism that
produces a slightly different variant of what you want."

"Amy's right," agrees Boss. "It is a treasure trove. And it's
just so exciting."

What University of Hawaii-Manoa tsunami researchers are learning about the Dec.
26 Indian Ocean tsunami could one day help make hotels and other buildings in
Hawaii safer.

Barbara Keating and Charles Helsley traveled to the Maldives Islands about six
weeks after the tsunami. Their study was published in the online "Science
of Tsunami Hazards" journal.

Among their observations: Pandanus (hala) trees and bushy plants like the
hibiscus between buildings and the sea helped lessen the waves' impact.

United States “anti-drug” policy faces a major setback in Venezuela this week,
and the drug warriors are loosening their ties as the heat rises. At the State
Department’s press briefing yesterday, Deputy Spokesman Adam Ereli responded to
Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez’s warnings on Sunday that Venezuela would no
longer work with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Chávez said that, far
from abandoning efforts to combat trafficking and money laundering in his own
country, his government had decided that – as Narco News has reported for over
five years – the DEA’s war on drugs has nothing to do with actually shutting
down the business, but is rather part of a strategy of political intervention in
Latin American affairs.

Where are the jobs for the 65,000 engineers the US graduates each year? Where
are the jobs for the physics, chemistry, and math majors? Who needs a university
degree to wait tables and serve drinks, to build houses, to work as hospital
orderlies, bus drivers, and sales clerks?

So how do citizens address this situation since the very means of addressing it
via Congress seem to have been closed off?

Congress has ceased to function as a viable tool of government. What is needed
is for leaders of honor to resign in protest.

I have had this conversation with some in Congress and have asked about their
thoughts on shutting down Congress and cleaning house. Their counter is that
they are afraid to 'leave the crazies in control.'

They are already in control. If the people want to heal this country, the people
have to purge the failing of this country. Vote them out. It might take two or
three cycles, but it will happen and it will take time.

Everyone who voted for the war in Iraq should be voted out of office because it
violated article six of the Constitution. Everyone who voted for the Patriot Act
needs to go because they did not represent the people by voting on legislation
they did not read. They have to go, regardless of party. They have through their
actions decided who stays and who goes.

Arms dealer Viktor Bout was the merchant of death wanted for feeding conflicts
in Africa - until Iraq happened.

Today the United States and Britain are using his extensive mercenary services
in Iraq. The condemnation of his role in the diamond wars and other conflicts in
sub-Saharan Africa over the past ten years is being silently erased.

New GOP Money Laundering Scheme
Before Congress left Washington for the summer, Republicans quietly inserted a
provision into the Transportation Appropriations bill that would repeal the cap
on the amount of money a "Leadership PAC" can donate to a political
party. The bill is set to come up for a vote in the fall and could be a
political disaster for Democrats.

By repealing the caps, Senators and Representatives will be able to raise
substantial sums of money for their leadership PACs from the same donors who
have already maxed out to their campaign committees. As a result, they will be
able to launder these contributions backs to their campaigns through the RNC,
NRSC or NRCC.

The CIA asked the Netherlands not to detain Pakistani scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer
Khan for stealing nuclear secrets from a Dutch facility, former Prime Minister
Ruud Lubbers has claimed.

The Dutch role in shady nuclear deals

Speaking on Dutch radio programme Argos on Tuesday morning, Lubbers said the
Dutch authorities held off from taking action against Khan in 1975 and 1986
because the US security agency wanted to gain more information about the
scientist's activities.

The Monsanto Pig (Patent pending)

The patent applications were published in February 2005 at the World
Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) in Geneva. A Greenpeace researcher who
monitors patent applications, Christoph Then, uncovered the fact that Monsanto
is seeking patents not only on methods of breeding, but on actual breeding herds
of pigs as well as the offspring that result.

"If these patents are granted, Monsanto can legally prevent breeders and
farmers from breeding pigs whose characteristics are described in the patent
claims, or force them to pay royalties," says Then. "It's a first step
toward the same kind of corporate control of an animal line that Monsanto is
aggressively pursuing with various grain and vegetable lines."

Saudi Arabia said Sunday it was working to bring back to the kingdom a total of $360 billion invested abroad in the last 18 months.

Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal told reporters the government was working on returning these "national assets" back to the oil-rich Arab country and to attract foreign investments in Saudi Arabia.

He said the kingdom has "established qualified institutions for that purpose," but did not elaborate.

When I reached the age 12 my father told me I had to go befor them because of my rebellion and being apposed to what I was to do. That was the time I met these men. They warned me of what could happen to me if I did not do as they suggest. George H.W. Bush Senior was one of these men. I stood before them and told them I was not going to follow their ways and I was not going to take my dads place, and that there was nothing they could do to me. My father was so embarrass he cowered in his seat. I told them I believe a higher power and that higher power said in his word that no harm can come to me. So be it and I turned left. They never said a word back. I think they were all stewing or struck with shock. I know my dad was "out of the mouths of babes".

It is very interesting to note that only the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th Articles of Amendment had numbers assigned to them at the time of ratification. The reason behind the numbering was to insure that the removal of the validly existing 13th Amendment was fully hidden by the proposed, and wrongfully numbered new 13th Amendment. To have just numbered the new proposed Amendment as the 13th and then not number any others would have called attention to the facts surrounding the situation. Whoever was behind the removal of the valid 13th Amendment had to number the next few Amendments so as to further hide their unlawful actions.

Obelisk mania had already engulfed Freemasonry by the time Napoleon Bonaparte set sail for Egypt in 1798. Whether Napoleon was a Mason is fiercly disputed but his four brothers certainly were. He was also encircled by Masonic advisors who convinced him Egypt held original secrets of history, philosophy and (of course) Freemasonry. Masons figured among the 150 scholars who joined the Emperor on his triumphant Nile progress, pillaging pyramids, temples and tombs all in the name of learning. They instantly realized that the Rosetta Stone (unearthed by French soldiers) might unlock the lost language of Egypt. To decipher its hieroglpyhs took many years and the genius of Champollion, yet even he needed the help of an obelisk bearing Cleopatra's cartouche, which was removed for shipment to England in 1818 by a Masonic adventurer: Giovanni Batista Belzoni.[11.]
